Description:
This crepe dress features a standing collar decorated with lace applique flowers. The front and back yoke of the bodice is made of lace and features pintucks and lace applique. There is also lace applique on the front of the bodice and on the sleeve cuffs. The skirt has pintucks and ruffles and there are pintucks on the sleeves. Features that indicate this dress is from the early 1900s are the S-bend silhouette, the narrow waist, the standing collar, and the monobosom.
This dress was worn by Mrs. Victor M. Tuthill who was the mother of one of the donors, Mrs. Charles Inslee.
