This bodice is made of blue taffeta and cream-colored lace. It has a standing collar and is boned. There is metallic applique on the front and decorative buttons can be seen throughout the entire bodice. The sleeves are full and have narrow cuffs. This bodice also has hook-and-eye closures down the center back and a maker label on the interior waistband that reads "Lounette, Chicago". Features that are indicative of the late nineteenth century are the boning, the standing collar, and the cinched waist.
