Photograph, Wealthy Street Bridge and Jesiek Boat Company

Comments and Tags

Description is totally wrong. This is the Wealthy St. Bridge already built. Date is 1906 or later. The boats are not loaded with supplies, they are covered against bad weather. This is the Jesiek Boat Co. The small, low pitched roof building at the right or east side of Wealthy Bridge is the Jesiek Boat Co. building. It was used for building new boats, repairs and sales of marine supplies. The boats were pulled out of the river onto the bank for winter storage, prior to installation of the cement flood walls. Low water and no leaves on the trees may indicate Fall when horses and/or winches were used to pull the boats out of the river. Jim Jesiek 1/4/2015 Jim Jesiek, 1/4/2015
Thanks Jim - I have incorporated your comments into the record for this photographs.Alex Forist, 1/19/2015
