The photograph depicts the Jesiek boat yard looking south. There are many boats moored in the old steamboat channel on the east side of the Grand River. Most boats are covered, including livery boats, livery with superstructure, and a kayak. There is a "Keep Off" sign leading to the docks. In the distance, figures can be seen standing on a dock and in a boat at the end of the dock.The tall wooden building on the left has a bicycle parked on an above-ground porch. The one-story structure attached to the southern side of the taller building is suspended on flood posts. A boat trailer sits on the shore.
Further down the river on the left is another building with a sign "Riverside Boat Co." In the distance; buildings and towers are visible behind that building and on the horizon. The address of the Jesiek Livery in 1912 was 530-532 Wealthy Street SW. at the river; pre-1912, the address was 2-4 Wealthy Street.
