Wealthy St. Gas Plant on the right. Pete Walsh, 11/9/2014
This picture is later than 1900. This is view of the Jesiek Boat Company looking north towards downtown. The boats are moored in the Old Steamboat Channel on the east side of Grand River. The Channel was being filled in to the north by Grand Rapids at this time. I believe the Wealthy St Bridge was build in 1906. The Bridge pictured is the Wealthy St. Bridge. After completion, the Jesiek Brothers had a contract starting April, 1907 with Grand Rapids to operate the swing bridge at $9.00 per week. Jim Jesiek 1/4/2015 Jim Jesiek, 1/4/2015
