Description:
This straw hat features artificial flowers and feathers. It was made by Loula E. Beecher of Grand Rapids, Michigan. ​During this time period most hats were small and fit very close to the head, however, summer hats still featured a wider brim to protect the wearer from the sun. A common feature of 1930s summer hats was a turned down brim to hide the face.
